Nadine entertaining.
Nadine Wardenga is a native of Georgia and was raised with traditional Southern values. She and her husband Tom make their home in Cleveland, GA. They have two sons, Glenn and John.
In addition to creating her products, Nadine is a certified etiquette consultant and renowned caterer. She enjoys serving as Chair of the White County Board of Health and is a member of the Cleveland Zoning Commission. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, sculpting, and creating new recipes.
Special guests are always welcome in the Wardenga home. Invites are given freely, so when the local owner of IGA, Dean Justice, was invited for lunch. He sampled Nadine's Chicken Salad for the first time. Before leaving that day, he was so impressed that he suggested that it be sold in his store deli. A taste test was held the following Saturday, and all product sold out by lunch! The rest is history. Since starting Wardenga Enterprises, Inc. in 2007, over 125,000 pounds of Nadine's Chicken Salad have been sold.
Nadine's Classic Cuisine has expanded from this humble beginning to now include her signature Chicken Salad, Pimento Cheese, Dipping Sauces, Quinoa Salad, Cinnamon Rolls, Jellies and Jams, and fresh Fruit Pies. In addition, she provides outstanding catering services for special events of all types.
She was pleased to be a finalist in the 2008 and 2009 Flavor of Georgia contests and was awarded the 2010 Entrepreneur of the Year by the White County Chamber of Commerce. In 2011, Nadine was one of eight Georgia Entrepreneurs invited to showcase her food products at the Georgia State Capitol. She was the only participant north of Macon invited to attend this Georgia Department of Agriculture event.
Her products are now available at multiple retail and grocery locations throughout North Georgia, including J&J Foods in Gainesville and Dahlonega; Adams IGA in Cleveland; and Foothills IGA in Marble Hill; Jaemor Farms in Alto; and Higher Ground Coffee in Helen. Her following continues to grow with each new customer.
Nadine is extremely proud to feature Georgia Products in her own recipes and dishes to support the natural resources of her home state.
